Surrey Heath World Music Festival
At the beginning of March 2013, Lakeside Primary welcomed children from 7 other local schools for a three day festival of Samba, Djembe drumming and Gamelan music. This was run by the musicians from Inspire Works and all the children and adults had great fun learning a range of rhythms and melodies.

Y6 residential visit to Osmington Bay

In September 2012, Year 6 had a wonderful week in Osmington Bay, near Weymouth. As you can see from the photo, the view was lovely! They sent us this report:
'The weather is glorious- bright and sunny with a cool sea breeze. Activities so far have included climbing, fencing and the amazing giant swing, as well as raft building by the sea, at the Olympic venue in Weymouth. Everyone is well and
enjoying themselves.'

BIG DANCE 2012
The children performed brilliantly at 1pm precisely on Friday 18th May 2012. We were extremely lucky with ther weather and everyone, including staff, had a fantastic time. Almost 400 children at the school took part and we are waiting to hear whether we are part of a WORLD RECORD BREAKING attempt. We will find out the result soon. We would also like to say a special thank you to the Mayor of Surrey Heath, Councillor Mansell, as well as to Councillor Samms, Mr and Mrs Cope and our Chair of Governors, Mr Alan Carter for witnessing the event on the day.
