The National Curriculum
As a Primary School, our curriculum is arranged in three phases.
The Early Years Foundation Stage - Nursery and Reception
Key Stage 1 - Years 1 and 2
Key Stage 2 - Year 3, 4, 5 and 6
Within each class, the teachers meet the needs of all children by planning for both ability and mixed ability groups. This enables children to work at appropriate levels in difference areas of the curriculum.
Our Nursery and Reception classes follow the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum. This has seven areas of learning.
Prime Areas of Learning Specific Areas of Learning
Personal, Social and Emotional Development Literacy
Communication and Language Mathematics
Physical Development Understanding of the World
Expressive Arts and Design
